Stephen Cherry Jones

Stephen Cherry Jones, 58, of Paris, passed away at his home, Friday, August 14, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, August 17, 2015 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bruce Cotton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Steve was born March 7, 1957 in Paris to James E. Jones and Betty Cherry Jones. Steve was employed, for 10 years, as the manager of O’Reilly Auto Parts in Paris. He loved his family and enjoyed life. Steve always looked forward to the weekends, when he could have a good time with his family and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his late wife Gayla; two brothers, Teddy and Jimmy Jones; a step-daughter, Cherise Bohanon and a step-granddaughter, Nellie Emeyabbi. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Jones, of Paris; two sons, Joshua Jones of Paris and Tyler Jones of Detroit; one grandson, Jamarcus Savage; as well as several other step-children and step-grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Jones & wife Paula of Cooper and David Jones & wife Patricia of Blossom; one sister, Nita Fowler & husband Larry of Paris, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be Tyler Jones, Matt Berchinal, Todd Ramsey, Clint Elrod, Jeff Jones and David Jones.
