Terrell Boyce Horton, 74, of Blossom, passed away at his home Wednesday, October 15, 2014. A Memorial Service with Military Honors has been scheduled for 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Hamilton officiating. Mr. Horton was born March 24, 1940 in Seminole, OK to Roy Allen Horton and Jessie Walters Horton. He proudly served his country, as a medic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. After completing his military service, he graduated from Westark Community College in Fort Smith, AR, with a degree in nursing and then pursued a nursing career for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sons, Zachery Horton of Joplin, MO, Monte Horton & wife Jennifer of Broken Arrow, OK, Greg Horton of Oklahoma City, OK and Michael Horton & wife Cari of Norman, OK; one brother, Gary Horton & wife Nancy of Broken Bow, OK; his step-mother, Christine Horton of Seminole, OK; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
