Thomas Kent Weiberg, 50, went to be with his beautiful daughter Hannah in heaven on Sunday, August 31, 2014. He and his wife, Susan and their dogs, Brutus & Gracie, were camping on Freeport Beach in the Gulf of Mexico and fishing. Tom was casting in the water for their supper. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5th, at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ with Patrick Cannon officiating. Friends may sign Tom’s guest book at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held in Minnesota at a later date. Tom was born Nov. 16, 1963, at the Balboa Naval Hospital. He lived in San Diego where his father was in the Navy for the one year. The family moved to Dallas, Texas for one year and then to Rochester, Minnesota. In 1969, the family moved to Mazeppa, Minnesota where Tom spent all his childhood playing with hot wheels, truck and cars in the sandbox and all the fun things little boys do. He graduated from high school in Mazeppa in 1982. Shortly after, he moved to Paris, Texas and attended Paris Junior College and worked for his uncle, Doug, at the Weiberg Office Equipment Center in Paris. He graduated from Paris Junior College with a degree in electronics. On Sept. 17, 1988, Tom married Kim Couch in the DeShong Chapel. Tom & Kim were blessed with their beautiful baby girl, Hannah, on Sept 20, 1990. Tom & Kim divorced in 1995. Tom started working at Paris Air Conditioning and was working there currently. He married Jill Brady in 2001. Later they divorced. Tragically Tom’s daughter, Hannah, was killed in a car accident when she had just turned 18 and was a senior at Paris High School. He met Susan Webb McGarvey in 2011, and they were married April 12, 2014. Tom & Susan were home to Mazeppa, Minnesota in July. The family enjoyed going to auctions, (Tom & Susan were antique collectors), and just sitting visiting with family and friends with a cold beer. Tom is survived by his wife, Susan, his mother, Linda Weiberg of Mazeppa, MN sister, Beth Krohn (Tim) Emily and Spencer, brother, Tim Weiberg (Kristi) of Stewartville, MN, grandpa, Charlie Gathje of Rochester, MN and many more family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Weiberg, father, Thomas W. Weiberg, grandma, Anna Gathje, grandma, Audrey Weiberg and grandpa Arnold Weiberg. We are all visitors to this place this time. We are all passing through. Our purpose is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love…. And then we return home. Blessed be His Memory – He was our wonderful, thoughtful, and much loved husband, son, brother, uncle and cousin.
