I’m grateful for the fact that I’m no longer alone

You heard my prayer before I took my last breath

Now I patiently sit just waiting for the rest…

Please wipe them tears off of everyone’s face

For I want them to know that I’m in a better place…

I’ll have to admit I didn’t think I’d be forgiven,

But when I called out your name,

I seen the steps to heaven…

Dear Lord, my loved ones are hurting deep inside

So I ask for you to be there to take away their cries

I now shout with joy while I praise Your name

For you blessed me with laughter and not one ache of pain

Never have I expected for it to be this good

Now I don’t want to go back, even if you said I could

Many people didn’t see it, but the whole time you knew

That my heart, love and soul had always belonged to you…

Dear Lord, I pray that you will remind the family

I’m here in Your Kingdom and will forever be happy

Don’t want to say goodbye because I’ll see them again

This time on better terms, in a place with no sins…

For now I’ll just wait for their turn to come

To be right here with me and the rest of our loved ones…

I’ll be waiting for the day to meet them all at the door

They’ll be glad I made it, when I called upon You…Dear Lord
