Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Collett of Oakdale, Minnesota and Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away peacefully on the 13th of March 2020 at the Polidori House under the care of Hospice of Havasu in Lake Havasu City surrounded by her loving family.

She attended St. Mark's Grade School and St. Agnes High School. Cindy married Craig Collett on October 17th, 1987. Cindy was always full of joy and treasured her time spent with family and friends. Countless weekends at the cabin and other gatherings where she was one of the card sharks of the family. Her latest love was residing in Arizona where the blue skies and clear waters of Lake Havasu mesmerized her.

Cindy (Wright) Collett was one of the most treasured people I ever knew. She did more for me than anyone else to help me get started in my career when I was very young and had just moved to Minnesota. I did not know anyone and she was the first professional person I met at a small business expo on May 24, 1984. Her deep and steady friendship was a comfort as I embarked on that rocky road as an entrepreneur. She made me join SCORE. I did more free speeches for her than I care to remember. I knew her before she met Craig and celebrated with them at their wedding & she was at mine. She celebrated so many other milestones with me too. I'm just so sad that she is gone, but in no way will she ever be forgotten. Sending a huge hug to her family. Cindy was one of a kind.

Aunt Cindy if I could see you now I take my final bow. You'll always be a Hoot even to Chucky our lucky pooch. You always had my back even when the sushi platter was flat. I remember pulling names from a silly hat, yours was animated, fun, unique but above all it was you. I'll never forgot your laugh even when I'm sad, if I have this memory I'll always end up glad.

Cindy was a beautiful person that welcomed us as family when we moved to Minnesota 5 years ago. We shared some laughs in a lot of family gatherings at the Cartiers, including our first Thanksgivings dinner. She also opened the doors of her cabin to us, in what was our introduction to cabin life in Minnesota. We will never forget that weekend in July 2018. The picture below shows our peaceful ride in their pontoon.
Our whole family (Antonio, Marta, Antonio Jr and Alejandra) will deeply miss you!
Sending love to Craig, sisters and all family.

I worked with Cindy for 25 years at the SBA. Her smile and presence lit up the office.
Cindy loved helping people and she was very creative in delivering SBA programs throughout the state. Cindy helped hundreds of women-owned businesses start and stay in business. There are many businesses that owe their success because of Cindy.
Within the office, Cindy made the workday fun. I always enjoyed working with her. Our office was very lucky that Cindy chose to work with us her entire career.

I first met Cindy when I swore her in at SBA, thus making her an official government employee. Even though there was an age difference, it didn't seem to matter to us., We were friends up until her untimely death. We visited Cindy and Craig at their beautiful Lake Havasu house. I' m glad she was able to spend a few good months there. I will miss Cindy, my dear, dear friend. She was like a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day and I never saw her anything but positive.
