Gerald Winsko was born in Detroit Michigan, and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. by his mother, Rose Tomakowski-Winsko. His biological father drowned when he was 4, and he was later adopted by Joe Winsko, who just months later was killed on Anzio Beach during World War II. In Buffalo he met and married Shirley Ann Riek, where together they had and raised 4 boys, Gregg, Michael, David and Jeffrey. He divorced, and later married Rosalind Nelson-Winsko, who had 2 sons, Steve & Scott Nelson, by a previous marriage.
He is survived by his 4 sons, daughter-in-laws, Angela Winsko & Anne Winsko, his 2 stepsons, as well as his grandson, Sean Winsko, and granddaughter, Katrina Winsko. He was cremated in Parker AZ, with a private service to be held at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
