

He was born to Louis and Frances Dupree, February 20, 1945, in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
Lou graduated in 1964 from Thomas Town High School in Louisiana. He married Gloria Claw on June 30, 2008 in Las Vegas Nevada. He was employed with RHS Carpet Mill in California for several years. He was portrayed in RHS Carpet Dye Plant magazine as the first black plant manager on the west coast. He retired at the age of 45 and moved to Big River, CA. After several years of retirement he went back to work at the Bluewater Resort and Casino where he retired again in 2008.
Lou is survived by his wife Gloria of Parker, his two children Lou Dupree Jr. of Earp, CA and Jacqueline Harris of Compton, CA, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, 8 step-children and numerous step-grandchildren, one sister Mary Dupree Smith of Las Vegas, NV., as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jules Dupree, and his parents Louis and Frances Dupree.
A Memorial, Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December 10th, 2011 at 12pm at Parker Funeral Home, 1704 S Ocotillo Ave Parker, Arizona 85344.
