Michael Robert Caldwell passed on April 14, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on March 14, 1958, Michael lived in Quartzsite, Arizona. Michael grew up in the United States and Germany as his father was in the Air Force. The family traveled where ever Uncle Sam sent their father. The family settled in Connecticut when his father retired. There were many aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the Eastern states. When Mike left home after high school he had many adventures on the road. He often spoke about the machine shop he worked at, being a land surveyor, guarding a gold mine in the mountains and learning everything about painting a house inside and out. At a young age going to church with family he began to question some things that did not make sense and he as not getting a definitive answer from the adults. By age 16 he heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accepted God's free gift. The last 13 years he spent in Quartzsite, Arizona spreading the Gospel. Isaiah 58 took him in when he was in need and he started volunteering for them not much later he became a staff member and moved on the property. He always had an encouragement, kind work or a scripture for any that would listen. He was generous with the money he earned with others in need. Mike loved the Lord and went to be with him. Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara, sisters Diane and Lisa, nephew Justin and Niece Sara. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his name is encouraged to contact the Board of Director for the Isaiah 58 Project. A celebration of life is in planning for November 2026 and an announcement will be made prior for everyone to be able to attend.
