It is with great sadness but also immense gratitude for his life that we announce the passing of Richard Earl Davis, 73, of Parker, Arizona on Friday June 20, 2025 at his home with his wife by his side and surrounded by lots of love. A man of unparalleled energy, precision and zest for life, Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure and unforgettable memories.
Born on Monday April 7, 1952 in Glendale, California to the late Richard Ellis and Diane Davis. He graduated from Reseda High School in Reseda, California. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam exemplifying honor, courage and dedication. He later relocated to Missouri before retiring to Arizona.
Richard grew up with a curiosity for life that led him down many paths, a relentless drive, passion for excellence and known for his meticulous nature. He took pride in everything he did whether it was perfecting his craft or preparing for his next great adventure.
Richard was never one to sit still, and was always on dawn patrol. His love for the outdoors led him to become an avid hunter sharing his passion with his family and friends especially Tres and Tyler Reiss with whom he always shared a special bond. When not found working or in the woods, you could find him on two wheels riding the highway of life with his bride or conquering dirt tracks and trails, cruising the desert in his razor or mountain biking, boating, water skiing or paddle boarding all with the same determination and smile that defined his life.
A devoted husband, father, father figure and close friend to many, Richard brought the same care and commitment to his relationships that he did to his hobbies. He was a pillar of strength and source of inspiration to his loved ones teaching them the importance of hard work, courage and embracing life’s adventures.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Robin L. Davis; two children; Rachel and Luke Davis; siblings; Vicki and Steve Kramer, Leslie Wrightfield and James Davis along with numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of dear friends who will cherish the joy he brought into their lives. His tireless energy, infectious enthusiasm and attention to detail will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Richard's adventurous life will be held in October with details to follow at a later date. Richard faced every twist and turn of his ride with gratitude, grace and an open heart. We are comforted by a few of his words: “It was a great ride.” The family invites everyone to share their memories and stories honoring a man who gave so much and truly knew how to live.
Though his journeys have come to an end, Richard's adventurous spirit, smile, meticulous ways and vibrant legacy will continue to inspire us all.
