He was born August 28, 1957, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Roxie (Polly) and Latus L. Rhodes.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David E. Rhodes.
He is survived by three sisters; Sondra Veon (Steven), LeeAnn Buck (Randy) of Parkersburg, WV, Debra George (Martin) of Old Town, FL, and his girlfriend, Kimberly Grigg of Washington, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
He loved the Ravens, had a very strong dislike of the Steelers(sorry Makayla and Megan, NOT) and Nascar.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Pastor Michael Lamb. Per Ayward's wishes cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
