She was born April 1, 1932, in Bluefield, WV, a daughter of the late Maxwell and Annie Sue Patrick Albright.
Bettie was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church, and also of the Porterfield Community Center. She loved being able to be a homemaker, and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Sams (Catherine) of Belpre, Ohio and David C. Sams (Robin) of Vincent, Ohio; one daughter Pamela Nutter (Christopher) of Guysville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jamie Sams (Kelly), Robin Sams Fru (Arbie), Breann Sams, Michael Sams, Josiah Nutter and Jerrick Nutter; one great grandchild Violet Fru.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Sams and one daughter Joann Sams.
Services will be held on Friday, September 19th, at 2:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV, with interment following in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pastor Mark Eaton will be officiating over the service. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
