Betty Lou Cook

She was born June 25, 1928 in Richwood, WV, a daughter to the late Charlie and Olive Johnson. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harlan “Booger” Cook and one brother, Tom Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters, Vickey Ball (Roger), and Lola Mae Knox (Jim) of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Catherine Smith (Stacy), Rebecca Shaver (Ryan), Thomas Knox III (Lesley), and Ashley Kelley (Daniel); great-grandchildren, BreeAnna, Brittany, Caitlyn, Kylie, Ty Mason, Kenade, Sonya, Jaimee, Jazmin, Aiden, Jayden, and Isiaha; brothers, John Johnson and Larry “Jim” Johnson; sisters, Mary Ruth Hacker, Zelda Duffield, and Ollalee Conner; half-sisters, Jeanie Johnson, Louise Johnson, and Debbie Grounds; along with many other extended family and friends.

Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Lloyd Winans officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
