Betty J. Davis

Mom was born number 5 of 22 brothers & sisters, she is survived by 6. Sisters, Barb, Dotty, Sharon (James), and brothers, Denny (Linda), Roger (Annie) & John (Nora).

Mom was always steadfast in her faith & had a servants heart all of her days. She worked hard all of her life, never taking anything that she did not earn. Mom dedicated her life to her family and all of those around her, including her friends & neighbors that became like family. Her love & care knew no bounds.

Mom enjoyed cooking & baking, all of her food was delicious but she was famous for her homemade cake icing, pie crusts & deviled eggs. Mom always tried to feed everyone, hungry or not, it was only one of many ways she showed her love. Mom had a beautiful talent for sewing & made many things throughout her life including beautiful handmade quilts, she also enjoyed working puzzles, doing word searches, flower gardening & being outside, but most of all Mom enjoyed the people surrounding her.

To know her was to love her, she was almost always smiling, she was a bright light. We will miss her terribly but take comfort in knowing that she in the presence of our Lord, no longer suffering, her body renewed & she is rejoicing with all of her loved ones gone before her, including her husband, Dewey Gene Davis Sr.

There are many left to cherish Mom's memory & unwavering love, her 4 children, Stephanie (Mike), Dewey Gene Jr. (Judy), Robert (Trina) & Rebecca (Steven).

Mom is also survived by many special Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren, including one due to arrive any day now. Mom was predeceased by her first Great Great Grandson, Eli James.

God truly gained an angel when he called Mom home.

The family would like to thank all who helped in making Mom's days brighter and with her care, including all of the staff with Amedysis.

Per Mom's wishes a private graveside service with be held with Frank Miller officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
