He was born September 7, 1939 in Rockport WV, a Son of the late Lena Smith Thompson and the late Carol Thompson.
Clair was an avid dirt track racing and Nascar fan. He was a member of Gates Ridge Methodist Church. Clair was a dedicated member of the food court crew where he went to “work” every day.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Janice Thompson, she was the love of his life, and he was the love of hers; his children, Bev Geiger, Barb (Ric) Tergolina, Ronda Stutler, Roger (Sheryl) Thompson, Jim Davis, Jerry Davis, and John (Brenda) Davis; grandchildren, Chris (Haley) Fleiger, Ashley (Jared) Kuhl, Cortney (Nate) Huff, Bradi Thompson, Kyle (Cailin) Thompson, Katie Thompson, Kalen Kelley, Kinsey Stutler, Becky (Macayla) Davis, Brittany (Ryan) Hill, Garrison Davis, Ryan Davis, Brandon Davis, Josie (Michael) Russell, Shyla Jarrell, Montana Jarrell; great grandchildren, Logan (Alyssa), Kaylei, Cody, Hannah, Emma, Easton, Lincoln, Shea (Blake), Tyler, Noah, Alivia, Cammi, Liam, Libby, Gracie, Annabell, Adaline, Alexa, Zayden, Brayden, and Isabella; great great grandchildren, Hadley and Elaina; sister, Lucille Murray; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandsons, Jeffrey Geiger, and Jerod Davis; brother, Ronald Thompson; son in law, Mike Geiger; and daughter in law, Kim Davis.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 9th 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens with Pastor Phillip Dent officiating
