

Clarence Edward Graham, Jr., 72 of Murphytown, WV passed away May 14, 2014. He was born February 16, 1942 at home in Parkersburg, WV, and was the son of the late Clarence Edward “Shorty” Graham, Sr. and of the late Pauline Trimble Graham.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1961 and was known as “Graham Cracker” while playing on the PHS football team and where he met the love of his life, Betty. He worked at Graham Ford in Ravenswood, WV and later worked at and owned with his brother North Western Disposal and Landfill. Also, Ed was a square dance caller and founder of the Country Squares and a caller of the Star Dusters and Pioneer Squares dance clubs, member of Caller Lab International, and traveled with his wife nationwide calling square dance for over 25 years. He was a leader of the Stillwell 4-H Club, a 4-H All-Star, and a member of Living Word Church. He enjoyed traveling, singing, and helping anyone who needed help. He was most proud of his 3 sons and loved spending time with each his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Jane Townsend Graham, his sons, Scott and Martha Graham of Fort Worth, TX and Chris and Ginny Graham of Murphytown, WV, his grandchildren, Matthew and Janessa Graham of Fort Worth, TX, Senior Airman Aaron and Kayla Graham of Lakenheath Air Force Base, United Kingdom, Bethany Graham of Parkersburg, WV, Dustin and Connor Graham of Murphytown, WV, and step granddaughter Christina Richards Berry of Parkersburg, WV, mother-in-law, Anna Townsend of Murphytown, WV, his brother Daniel R. “D.R.” and Pearl Graham of Waverly, WV, nephews Tom Graham and Angie of Mineral Wells, WV and Tim and Kathy Graham of Parkersburg, WV, several more loving family members and many caring friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randal Eric “Randy” Graham, his father-in-law Albert Anderson “Blackie” Townsend, and his sister, Nancy Graham.
Service will be Monday, May 19, 2014, 11:00am , at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2:00-4:00 pm, and 6:00-8:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
