Darrell Lee Wright

Darrell Lee Wright, 72, of Belleville, WV, passed away October 24, 2018, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born October 10, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Cellie and Thelma (Fleak) Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty L. Wright; brother Harold Wright and one sister Lorene Sellers. Darrell worked and retired from Dupont with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Hopewell Church of Christ and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodwork. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Angela Lemley and her husband James of Belleville, Brian Wright of Belleville, Vicki Nelson and her husband David of Ravenswood, Stacey Miller and her husband Tim of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters Irene Townsend, Geraldine Smith; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Doug Guinn officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared with the family at ww.sunsetparkersburg.com.
