He was born June 23, 1933 in Speedway, WV, a son of the late James Clarence Cox and Nora Thelma White.
Denny was a very talented and skilled carpenter and roofer. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and all that nature had to offer. He was a lifetime NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching it every Sunday.
He is survived by his sons, James (Tammy) Cox, Terry Cox; brothers, James Cox, Kevin Cox, Jeff Cox; grandchildren, Jeaney Cox, Tyler Cox; great-granddaughter, Cali Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Cox; grandson, Cory Cox; brother, Michael Cox; two sisters, and two daughters.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday January 16, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
