Donna C Joy

Donna Carol Joy, 74 of Washington, WV passed away Dec. 19, 2010 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 2, 1936 in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Roy and Nina Hayes Adams. She attended the Christian Life Center for over 20 years and recently became a member of the Gateway Apostolic Church, where her son Pastors. She loved gardening, fishing, decorating her home and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of over 59 years, Cecil W. Joy; one daughter, Sharon Fleak (Wayne) of Washington; four sons, Warren Joy (Marion Alleman), Gary Joy (Judith), Michael Joy (Melinda), all of Lubeck, and Pastor Steven Joy (Eva) of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren, Stacy Taylor (Justin), Lisa Fleak, Nathan Joy, Jeremy Joy (LaDawn), Trevor Joy, Travis Joy (Melissa), Matt McBride, Stephanie Joy, Colin Joy, Brandon Joy, Jaron Joy, and Cari Joy; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Bailey (Poe); two brothers, Ron Adams (Judy) and Wayne Adams (Bliss); and her special friend, Bonnie Garvin.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Michael W. Seebaugh officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
