Gary was one on of a kind. He would always help a person out when they were in need no matter what it was. He was funny at times and serious in others.

He has always treated me as one of his family and thought of him as fondly as I did my own father. He loved his family and grand kids.

He will truly be missed by all who lives he touched. Rest in piece.

I have fond memories of Gary when both of us worked for LOCAL SECURITY COMPANY, working armed security at the St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg in the late 1960's. My cousin, Gary, was a good and honest person. Nina, his mother and Orvilla "Aunt Bill", my mother were sisters.

I will miss you a lot. I knew this day would come eventually but not so soon.. I will miss how you let me ride around on the four wheeler and take me on rides with you, how you would let me and my friends stay all the time, I will miss how you would take me to goose creak and fish; I will miss everything.❤️ I will miss your jokes the most and seeing you laugh because you knew you were annoying me 😂 we did a lot together and you taught me the most. I will miss you and love you❤️ RIP

Gray's nickname for my wife, was red. She has red hair and he didn't miss a beat to quickly identify a funny way to identify her. As others have stated Gary never missed an opportunity to either flirt or crack a joke. He was smooth in his approach and made people feel comfortable.

Great uncle Gary will be missed,

Jonathan Carte, Tiffany Carte and family.
