

He was born June 3, 1934, in Asbury, WV, a son to the late Vernon William Harrah and Josie Bray (Dosier) Harrah. He graduated from Wahama High School in 1953. Later in life, he was a mechanic by trade and employed by E.I. DuPont de Nemours until 1991. Glen was a US Army Veteran, where he served as a Medic from 1953-1955. He loved to sing and participated in the Porterfield Baptist church choir, where he also served as a Deacon. Because of his love of singing, he also was part of the Barbershop Group, The Treble Makers, and the Good News Singers Quartet. He was a member of Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA), and had been a hospice volunteer for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris (Litton) Harrah, two sons Curtis Glen Harrah of Dallas, TX, and Wayne Alan Harrah of Marietta, OH; two brothers, Vernon William Harrah, Jr. of Orlando, FL, and Roger Lee Harrah of Peebles, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Catherine Sayre.
Services will be held on Friday, September 26, at 1:00 PM, at the Porterfield Baptist Church, with entombment following in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Eric Leeson, Evangelist Rick Steffy, and Kevin Wright will be officiating over the service.
