She was born February 19, 1945 to the late John Murray Gribble and Stella Evelyn (Husk) Gribble. She was a pharmacy technician employed by K-Mart on Southside for 32 years.
Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She had an unwavering faith in God and was blessed with the ability to spread His Word to others. She has been the heart of the Lowers’ family, shaping their spirituality with her tireless Christian example and generous spirit. She loved spending time with her friends and family-especially her grandchildren. While everyone shall miss Glenda’s presence on earth, all who knew her are comforted in knowing that she is alive and well in Heaven-playing her new piano and rejoicing in the Lord.
She was a member of the board and also attended Larkmead Gospel Church, as well as multiple gospel singing groups throughout the years.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Russell Lowers, Sr.; three sons, Raymond Russell Lowers, Jr., Roderick Ryan Lowers, and Ronald Ray Lowers; two brothers John Gribble and Rodger Gribble; three sisters Donna (Gribble) Hall, Janet (Gribble) Greenlief; Rutheda (Gribble) Dotson; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five grandchildren.
There will be a private service for the family held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
