He was born December 15, 1938 in Elizabeth, WV a son of the late Wilbur Cooper and Myrtle Sheppard Cooper.
Harold retired from Hope Gas after many years of service. He was a Christian by faith. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and farming. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 66 years, Norma Moore Cooper; son, Timothy (Karen McNeeley) Cooper; daughter, Jenean (Steve) Cheuvront; grandkids, Megan, Michelle, Nichole, Alex, Nic, Heather, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Kaleigh, Peyton, Logan, Bristol, Carter, Mariah, Harrison, Everlee and great-great grandson, Weston Oak.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Deloris, Janet- Sue; and grandson-in-law, Jackie Lake.
Graveside service will be 1 P.M. Saturday May 3, 2025 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Kevin O’dell officiating.
