

Jaime Lynn Greathouse, 33, of Parkersburg, passed away August 26, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, surrounded by her family and close friends.
Jaime was born on Sept. 27, 1977 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of Danny and Emily “Susie” Greathouse. She was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School and graduated from West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a degree in Elementary Education. Jaime dedicated her whole adult life to teaching and molding the minds of children of all ages through her teaching, coaching or love of God and Church. She was previously employed by the YMCA, a substitute teacher with Wood County Schools, the Kids Casa daycare and as pre-school teacher at the First Baptist Church in Williamstown, WV. For several years, she was also the JV volleyball coach and Varsity softball coach at Williamstown High School.
Jaime was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She volunteered a lot of her time with the youth ministries and she enjoyed teaching the Bible to children and loved attending church camp every year at Camp Cowan.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Jodi (Chris) Scott and Jill (Eric) Lane of Parkersburg, and Jessica (Kerry) Anthony of New Cumberland, WV. She is also survived by six nephews, Ethan and Luke Scott, Darius Lane, Eric Lane, II, and Cole and Bryar Anthony; five nieces Monika Huguely, Mikyla “Kai” and Satia “Tia” Stewart, Hallie Scott, and DaMaya “Maya” Lane; one great-niece, Nevaeh Huguely. They all loved their “Meme” very, very much. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, her church family and several adopted brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shirley “Buck” and Erma Greathouse and Carol “Dagwood” and Reba “Helen” Miller.
A celebration of Jaime’s life will be 1 p.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Mugrage officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and Friday for two hours prior to the service, at the church.
