OBITUARY

Jeffery Craig Drain

March 14, 1967June 1, 2019

It is with great sadness that we say farewell to Jeffery Craig Drain, 52, of Williamstown. Jeff passed away on June 1, 2019 at Parkersburg Care Center after a prolonged illness. Jeff was born March 14, 1967 to James Ernest and Dortha Ayers Drain. He was a proud Big Red, graduating at Parkersburg High School with the class of 1986. As a young man he worked many trades including boat building in Charleston, South Carolina. Later he became a Tri-state regional manager serving K-Marts with custodial and maintenance services. Jeff was an outdoor enthusiast enjoying hiking, camping, and trout fishing in the mountains of West Virginia. He visited many state parks and photographed the beautiful scenery that he so appreciated about our great state. Boating, woodworking, gardening, watching sports and racing, were his leisure activities. Jeff was also a great chef. Jeff was a kind-hearted person who would freely give of what he had. He volunteered feeding the homeless and donated to church food pantries. He is survived by brother, James Drain of Parkersburg, and sisters, Charisse Drain of Ft. Myers, Fl. and Kathy Williams (Alan) of Mineral Wells. He was Uncle Jeff to many nieces and nephews, that he loved as his own. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Tammy Drain and three nephews, Jesse, Jason and James Drain III. To honor Jeff’s life a memorial will be held in the Sunset Chapel at 1 on June 20th, WV Day. Time to share your memories will be followed by graveside service. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.sunsetparkersburg.com
