Jerry Lee Balderson, 78, of Rockport, WV, went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2019.

Jerry was born September 25, 1941 in Parkersburg, WV to Raymond H. and Kathryn M.{Coe} Balderson.

Jerry was employed by the Wood County Board of Education as a school bus driver for 30 years and was a Deacon at the Pond Creek Baptist Church. He was a Black Belt in Karate, loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, watching wrestling, football and was a WVU fan.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Diana, daughter, Tina (Brian) Pigott, brothers, Thomas (Barbara) Balderson, Bill (Janet) Balderson, grandchild, Dustin (Kia) Pigott and great grandchildren, Gavin, Karson and Landon.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Dornan officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
