

Jill Luann VanMeter, 35, of Murfreesboro, TN formerly of Belleville lost her brave battle with breast cancer January 6, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville. She was surrounded by her loving parents.
Jill was born April 10, 1980 in Parkersburg, WV – the only child of James Edward and Patsy Ann {McVey} VanMeter.
At the age of 4, she began singing in church, at fairs and talent shows. Her dedication to her “Dream” of becoming a country music vocalist never diminished as she went on to even greater accomplishments as she moved to Nashville. “She will always be a part of life’s song for everyone who knew and loved her.” Jill will always be known for her lovely voice, bubbly personality and infectious smile.
She graduated from Parkersburg South in 1998. Along with her music, she was presently pursuing a nursing degree while working in a sports bar in Murfreesboro, TN.
Jill is survived by her maternal grandmother Clara McVey of Belleville, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, several close friends from Tennessee and her best friend Playboy her teacup Chihuahua.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Virgil K. McVey and Paternal grandparents Dick & Doris VanMatre.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Bush of South Parkersburg Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
