John F. Moyer

John F. Moyer, 62, of Vienna, departed this life for his new home in Heaven on Apr. 1, 2011.

He was born Sept. 18, 1948 in Wood County, son of Jessie L. Keith Moyer and the late Cecil J. Moyer. He worked for 44 years at Kroger and he was a member of the Living Word Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and playing with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley V. Moyer; two daughters, Cathy (Scott) Cain of Sandyville, WV and Stacey (Chris) White of Vienna; four grandchildren, Jon Cain, Abby Cain, Collin White, and Isabelle White; one brother, Steve (Peggy) Harrah of Clarksburg; one sister, Janis (Bob) Lynch of Washington, WV; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Ethlyn Clark; two brothers-in-law Danny (Teresa) Williams and Paige Hardesty; and sister-in-law, Wanda (Roy) Elliott.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his fathers-in-law, Wayne Williams and Frank Clark; and sister-in-law, Margaret Hardesty.

As per his wishes, cremation will take place and graveside services will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, Apr. 6, 2011 at Sunset Memory Gardens .

Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg is in charge of arrangements.
