Katherine Irene Kidder Katherine Irene Kidder, 84, of Parkersburg, was welcomed by her heavenly father on July 13, 2020. She was born on March 12, 1936 in Norton WV. She was the daughter of the late Edward Lee and Beulah Hester Phillips. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Pomp and wife, Janet, of Las Vegas, NV, Fay Short and husband Michael, of Baltimore MD, Berton “Kris” Pomp and wife Melinda of Fairmont, WV and RoxAnn Green and husband, Jess, of Washington, WV. Her grandchildren; Melissa Arnetz (Tom), Kathleen Parsons (Randy), Jeremy Pomp (Lela), Christopher Pomp (Shannon), Kayla Steurer (Kevin), Morgan Hickle (Brett), Tyler Green (Mary Catherine), Karli Pomp, and Buck Osborne (Kim). Her great grandchildren: Olive Pomp, Julian Pomp, Matthew Arentz, Jacob Arentz, Haley Short, Christopher Short Jr., Kora Steurer , Ava Parsons, Easton Parsons, Jaden Osborne, and Ryan Tharle. One brother, Gary “Jerry” Phillips and wife Ruth of Jimtown, WV and Brother-in-law Roy Lee Hart, of Hambleton, WV. Two sisters, Janice Claramae Boserman and husband, Jack, of Parsons, WV and Mary Jean Herron of Oakland, MD. Proceeding her in death are her husband, Jack C. Kidder, two brothers Walter Lee Phillips and wife Nora, Keith Dale Phillips and wife Gaynell. Three sisters: Rachel Mae Kirk and husband (Glen), Sandra Sue Hart, Edna Marie McCauley and husband Leon, and one brother-in-law, Eugene Herron. She was a very talented painter of portraits and landscapes. She also made beautiful quilts and flower arrangements. She freely shared her creations with her family and friends out of love. Funeral services will be Friday July 17, 2020, 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 2 to 4 pm. and 6 to 8 pm. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memory Gardens.
