Kathy was born June 30, 1958 in Parkersburg, WV to Voris Monroe and Betty Elaine Shaffer Morton.
She worked for GE Plastics, formly Borg Warner for 29 years. Kathy was a member at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, where she served as Lay Leader. She was also a member of the WV Daughters of the American Revolution, past State Vice Regent, Col. Zackquill Morgan Chapter, past Chapter Regent, associate member of James Wood Chapter and Commodore Joshua Barney-John Eager Howard Chapter. Kathy served as a senior leader in the Children of the American Revolution; holding the positions of Honorary Senior State President of WV, Senior National Chaplin, Senior National Recording Secretary, Senior National Registrar, Senior National Vice President Mid-Southern Region and Honorary Senior National Vice President.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her brothers Brian M. Morton of Fairfax, VA and Brooks A. Morton of Ellicott City, MD
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
