

She was born April 2, 1969 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Ralph Golden and Judy McMahon.
Kayla worked in Early Childhood education most of her life. She was an active member and usher at the Warehouse Church. She loved going to church and her faith was very important to her. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, win or lose she watched the games. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 1118. Kayla was the best grandma the kids could ever ask for. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Above all else she loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. She will be deeply missed.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Calvin Carpenter; sons, Dustin (Carrisa) Carpenter of Vienna, WV, Benjamin (Madeline) Carpenter of Parkersburg, WV; step-daughter, Lindsey (Danny) Fordyce; brothers, Rodney Golden, Danny McMahon; sisters, Hope (Stephon) Golden Hill, Karen Golden, Dawn (Brad) Senne; grandchildren, Avery, Paige, Hilary, Peyton, Raven, Gracie, Zeke, Dayona, Hannah, Lexus and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by step-son, Luther Carpenter
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday February 22, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be three hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
