Born December 20, 1939 in Webster County, he was the son of the late Elbert and Cecil Shelton. Keith was raised in Dain and graduated from Richwood High School in 1958. He was a retired US Army veteran with 36 year service 1092 engineer battalion. He also retired with 15 year service to Loomis Fargo Messenger Guard. Keith enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family, and raising a garden. He will be greatly missed by his dogs, Bo and Molly.
He is survived by his wife of 44 ½ years, Beverly Perrine Shelton, sons Scott (Erica Shelton of Mineral Wells, WV, Mitchell (Jessica) Shelton of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Tyler, Anniston and Bennett of Mineral Wells, WV, and Brandon Shelton of Parkersburg, WV and one sister, Jean Callihan of GA.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, Bill and Ray Shelton; sisters, Ardith Shelton, Glenna Browning and Orba Massey.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Kyle Jolly officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the funeral home.
