

He was born September 2, 1948, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Fred and Mary (Nutt) Lamm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Lamm and his father and mother-in-law, Donald and Alice Cunningham.
Larry was a United States Marine and served his country faithfully in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Narrow Gate Baptist Church and the American Legion, Parkersburg. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed refinishing antiques, attending auctions, collecting Marine Corps merchandise, guns, and playing with his two dogs, Gunner and Monk.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Gayla (Cunningham) Lamm; sons Larry Lamm and his wife Mary of Parkersburg, Bryan Lamm and his wife Linda of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren Riley Lamm, Hunter Lamm and Austin Lamm; sisters Betty Poling of Grafton, Shelva Jean Lockhart of Washington, Rita Goff of Parkersburg; brother Bob Lamm of Parkersburg; sister-in-law Donna Hart and her husband Harold “Bud” and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Steve States officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley, her staff, Dr. Dennis Newland and his staff for their compassion and care during Larry’s battles.
In Lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Humane Society of Parkersburg/ Vienna.
