Leonard D. Burrows

He was born Nov. 19, 1916, in Calhoun Co., a son to the late Walter and Mary Burrows. He retired from Monongahela Power Co. in 1979 with 32 years of service. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene, and loved to hunt and fish. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Burrows, brother, Hayward Burrows, sisters, Emogene Davis, Irene Siers, Lorene Wyers, and Eveline Frye.

He is survived by his daughters, Dortha Gregg (Perry) of Walker, Mary Whitlock (Bud) of Parkersburg, and Beverly Scales (Steve) of Houston, TX, son, Dexter Burrows (Joyce) of Little Hocking, OH, brothers, Amos Burrows of Davisville, and Andy Burrows of FL, 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren, along with many other extended family and friends.

Funeral will be Wed., June 25, 2014, 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Keith Hostutler officiating.

Visitation will be Tues., June 24, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service on Wed. at the funeral home.
