He was born on Nov. 30, 1939 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Ralph Curtis and B. Marie Graham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, worked at Viscose for 11 years and retired from Elkem Metals after 25 years of service. He was a NASCAR fan, loved politics, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Freda J. Graham; four children, Leroy Curtis Graham, II and his wife, Kelley of Parkersburg, Shelia Ruppenthal and her husband, Scott, of Washington, WV, Steven R. Graham and his wife, Beverly of Parkersburg, , and Keith Daniel Graham of Mineral Wells; fourteen grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, Brittany, Courtney, Sarah, Sonya, Matthew, Megan, Jonathan, Justin, Jordan, Abigaile, Nicholas, and Christopher; four great-grandchildren, Devin, Mia, Abby, and Leo; one brother, Howard Graham of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Shirley Smith and Nina Ruble, both of Mineral Wells, and Norma Jean Graham of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Bill Graham.
Services will be held at noon on Thursday, July 12 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Lynn Roush officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with full military rites provided by the American Legion Post 15.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
