

Linda Kay Lockhart, a cherished resident of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on August 1, 1950, in Parkersburg, she was the beloved daughter of Ernest and Freda McElfresh. Linda was known for her generous spirit, hard-working nature, and humorous personality. She was loyal and patient, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.
Linda was married to the late Larry Lockhart, Sr. She is survived by her son, Larry Lockhart Jr., and his wife, Diane Merinar; her daughter, Angela Richards, and her husband, David; her brother, Tommy McElfresh; and her grandchildren, Crystal, Heather, Tony, Nikki, Amy, Jonny, Sammy, Jeffrey, and Jacob. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry, her longtime companion Bob Frazier, her daughter Linda Dale, and seven brothers and sisters.
Linda had a passion for playing bingo, attending yard sales, and spending cherished moments with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A visitation service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1934 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, WV 26101, on February 5, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 1:00 pm, with the burial taking place on the same day.
