Lu Carolyn Hewitt, 81, of Parkersburg, passed away Aug. 1, 2011 at Worthington Manor.
She was born June 2, 1930 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Guy and Alice McMasters Wilhelm. She retired from PNC Financial where she was the Sr. Vice President, was a Methodist by faith, and she enjoyed the beach and dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Hewitt; one grandson, Jason Knapp (Lora); two great-grandchildren, Austin Druid and Eowyn Knapp; one brother, Guy Wilhelm of Grafton, WV; special nephew, John Wilhelm of Grafton, WV; one sister, Juanita (Dennis) Bartlett of Norton, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Sue Paddon; and one sister, Geraldine Cathell.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Ken Newland officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
