
Myrtle Madge Marsh Weidlich, 88, of Cambridge, OH, formerly of Lubeck and Roanoke, WV, passed away Nov. 29, 2010 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 24, 1922 in Roanoke, WV a daughter of the late Gideon Draper and Rose Strader Marsh. She was a Christian by faith, a member of the VFW Post #1976 Ladies Auxiliary in Weston, the Rebecca’s in Lewis County, WV, the Homemakers Club of Crawford, WV, the Lubeck UMC Women’s Society of Christian Service, and the Lubeck VFD Women’s Auxiliary. She also loved to attend the activities and sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Sandy) Weidlich, of Vandalia, OH, Barbara (Darrell) Gandee and Patty (Derek) Lyons, all of Washington, WV, Mary (Charles) Wilcoxen of Belpre, OH and James Weidlich of Cambridge, OH; 10 grandchildren, Edward Weidlich, Monica McIntosh, Brett Lyons, Neil Lyons, Morgan Gandee, Graham Gandee, Jamie Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, R.J. Weidlich, and Katrine Weidlich; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Lydia, Joshua, Maddox, and Griffin Gandee, and Cameron Weaver; and several nieces and nephews whom she had tremendous love for.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Charles Weidlich; one step-granddaughter, Savannah; four sisters, Audrey Hull, Effie Hull, Virgie Mahon, and Hallie Dietz; and two brothers, Lehman and Ernest Marsh.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-7 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with funeral services following at 7 p.m.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Post Chapel Cemetery in Crawford, WV.
