She was born January 14, 1932 in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Charley Boyce and Mary Ettie Thompson Boyce.
Nora was a Methodist by faith. She attended Beech Grove United Methodist Church and Pettyville United Methodist Church. She worked at Viscos/FMC, then decided to attend nursing school. After completing her schooling, she worked as a nurse at Camden Clark for many years. She then went on to work at Dupont and retired from there after many years of service. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, flower gardening, and farming. She worked as an Avon representative, and enjoyed the relationships she built with her many clients. She loved all things hummingbirds, whether real or decorative and had quite the collection of them. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, there are no words to describe how deeply she will be missed.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her brother, Charles Boyce; sons, Larry (Lesa) Ball of Coolville, OH, Charles (Kimberly) Ball of Little Hocking, OH; daughter, Kathie Ball of Coolvile, OH; grandchildren, Tausha (Mike) Pullins, Kayla (Tony) Whited, Cody Ball; great-grandchildren, Austin Pullins, Abigail Whited, Tyler Whited, and Rayland Ball.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin Ball; second husband, John W. Hanson and many brothers and sisters.
