Patricia B Atkinson

Patricia was born April 5, 1939 in Vienna, WV to Leander and Emma {Taylor} Atkinson.

Patricia worked at the Misty Manufacturing Company and Greenlawn Nursing Home. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in South Parkersburg. She was a Cincinnati Reds, WV Mountaineer and Ohio State football and basketball fan, supporter of the Vienna Fire Department and Parkersburg High School. Patricia loved doing crafts, jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo at the Wood County Senior Citizens Center. She liked playing cards and croquet with family and friends, movie and TV westerns and mysteries and she especially loved animals, in particular, pets of her grandniece Chandra Miller of Everett, WA.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her brother, Charles (Laurie) Atkinson of Merced, CA and sister, Edith Ebersbach of Vienna, WV, niece, Linda Miller of Vienna, WV whom she resided with, many more truly beloved nieces and nephews, special cousin, Kaleb Neal of Parkersburg, WV who really cheered her up while at The Willows Center and Chandra’s pets Leon and Vapor. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Dorothy Atkinson, Elsie Havens, Nellie Ray and two brothers, Theodore Atkinson and Oscar Atkinson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.sunsetparkersburg.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Parkersburg, 530 29th Street, Parkersburg, WV.
