Paul L. Blair, 88, of Dupont Road, Washington, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 30, 2011
He was born July 13, 1923 to Caryl and Maude Hawk Blair. He served in the Merchant Marines in WWII and then worked at EI DuPont for 35 years retiring from Zytel in 1982. He was a life member and past President of Fort Boreman Rifle Association, a referee for the NRA, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Larry Cox; four grandchildren, Justin and Kayla Cox, both of Washington, WV, Amanda Dallas of Jackson, TN, and Robert Franklin of Belpre, OH; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Harriett Grubb Blair; one daughter, Melinda Tennant; and twin sisters, Ilene Ferguson and Carlene See.
At the request of Mr. Blair, there will be no services. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
