Phyllis L. Allen

January 11, 1941August 29, 2018

Phyllis Lucille (Freshour) Allen, 77, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away August 29, 2018, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg. She was born January 11, 1941, in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Doyle and Sara Edna (Heffner) Freshour. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Allen; four sisters; one brother and one grandson. Phyllis retired from the Wood County Schools as a cook and attended of the Word of God Ministries Church. Left to cherish her memory is her children, William Allen and his wife B.J., Emmitt Allen and his wife Maribeth, April Whited and her husband Will, Patrick Allen and his wife Tina; three sisters; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Daniel Ahart officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018, also at the funeral home. PAT ,I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.I WILL NEVER FORGET PHYLLIS,CECIL AND YOU SITTING IN FRONT OF CHUCK AND I AT THE OLD COUNTRY CHURCH. SHE WAS ALWAYS SO QUIET AND SO SWEET.I'M GLAD I GOT TO VISIT HER AT THE HOSPITAL AND SAY GOOD BY.

She was the sweetest lady who always had a smile. I am going to miss her when we play Bunco monthly. The last time we were there on the same night, we were partners. Who knew that would be the last time playing together. Sending prayers. 🙏❤️
