Randall C. Roberts, 84, of Vienna, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 8, 1941, in Rocksdale, West Virginia, a son to the late Homer and Adnel (Carpenter) Roberts.
Randall was a 1960 graduate of Calhoun County High School where he met and is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hope Roberts, Vienna, WV. He leaves behind his two sons, Tim (Amy) Roberts of Vienna, WV and Tony (Jo) Roberts of Lexington, NC. His legacy includes four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren: Katie (Peter) Gray and their son Pierce, Corrine Elise, Sawyer (Amber) Roberts and their children, Sawyer and Emberlynn, and Allie Roberts (Max). In addition, he is survived by 3 sisters Thelma Adkins, June Armel, and Judy (Bill) Ogden.
Randall began his career with Samco Inc., bottlers and distributors of RC Cola, 7-Up, and Dr. Pepper. He started on the production line in 1960 and rose through the ranks and was named General Manager on February 1, 1988. He remained in that position until the company sold. He then finished his career at PepsiCo. In his retirement years he enjoyed driving cars for Matheny Motors.
Randall was active in the community. He volunteered for many years with the Vienna Recreation Improvement Association (VRIA), serving on the board of directors and as President. He was a member of Parkersburg Homecoming board of directors for 20 years and served as the President for many years. He was past president of the Parkersburg Business Association, a past member of the Vienna Lions Club, he served on the PHS Stadium Committee, and the Mountwood Park Board. In 1987 he was named Man of the Year by the Parkersburg Area Jaycees. He spent many Christmas Eve’s with his sons placing luminaries on Grand Central Avenue. In 2021 He was named Parade Grand Marshal of the Vienna Christmas Parade.
In Addition to his parents, Randall is preceded in death by his siblings, Roger Roberts, Homer Roberts Jr., Oral Roberts, Ivan Roberts, Nina Parsons, Zella Izetta Vincent, and Dorcas Carter.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM Sunday February 8, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Service begins at 3 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will follow Monday February 9, 2026 at Sunset Memory Gardens.
