Richard was born September 25, 1944 in Wood County, WV to Ershal and Valone {Deem} Marks.
He married Delta “Becky” Gant on July 17, 1969.
Richard was Vietnam Army Veteran and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Richard will be deeply missed by his wife; Becky and children, Valone Lynn “Loni” (Terry) Collins of Lubeck, Crystal Dawn (Darin) Crites of Mineral Wells , Richard E. (Sabrina) Marks of Parkersburg, Kim (Charlie) Rowan of Vienna, brother; Michael (Kay) Marks of Belpre, sister; Cindy (Terry) Haddox of Belpre, grandchildren; Taylor, Morgan, Chantz, Zachary, Taryn, Kaylynn, Lauren (Tylor), Lindsay and Kendra, two great grandchildren; Brantley and Braxton. Richard was preceded in death by his sister Diane Starkey and infant sister Tina.
Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Darin Crites officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
