Roger L. Bell

Roger Lee Bell, 66, of Washington, WV passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 20, 1950 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late John and Fosteen (Hughes) Bell.

Roger was retired from O Ames after 30 years. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a U.S. Army Verteran serving in Vietnam in 1971. Roger was a Baptist.

Roger loved spending time with his grandchildren whom he nicknamed "Little Red" and "Bug". He also loved the game of golf.

Survivors include wife Margaret "Peggy" Wigal Bell, his sons Steven Scott Bell and Brian (Krista) Bell, two grandchildren Wyatt and Kyra Bell, two brothers Billy and Bobby Bell, sisters Loretta Bayer and Betty Beck.

He was preceded in death by brother Wayne Bell and brother-in-law Bobby Garver.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitaion will be one hour prior to the service from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery where military rites will be held by the American Legion Post 15. Online tributes may be made at www.sunsetparkersburg.com.
