Roger Dale Oldaker

He was born January 26, 1954, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Wilson Oldaker and Jesse Harrison Oldaker.

Roger was a 1974 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a devoted member of First Baptist Church. Throughout his life, Roger was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and willingness to take pride in everything he did. He held various positions over the years, including working at Walker in Parkersburg and as an electrician for L.B. Foster. He was also the proud owner and operator of Roger’s Body Shop for 15 years and served as Purchasing Director at Bosley Rental. He worked 26 years as a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway. Outside of work, Roger had a passion for automobiles and music. He especially enjoyed attending car shows and cruising around in his beloved 1954 Chevy. However, of all the things that brought Roger joy, nothing meant more to him than his family. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his children and grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. The memories he created with them and the love he shared will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Barbara Tefft Oldaker; sons, Dustin (Danielle) Oldaker, Darik (Jessica) Oldaker; grandchildren, Landen, Zoey, Finley, Jake; sisters, Debbie (Roger) Reed; brother, Henry Oldaker; sister-in-laws, Patty (Gary) Mollohan, Carol Oldaker brother-in-laws, David Tefft, John Hegedus and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mickey Oldaker, William Oldaker; sisters, Glenda Daggett, Kathleen Lucas, Barb Hegedus and sister-in-law, Judy Oldaker.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday November 3, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday November 2, 2026 from 2PM to 4 PM and 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
