He was born March 31, 1943 in Roseville, OH, a son of Roy Pletcher and Mildred Cain Pletcher.
Roger retired from Rockwell International in 1995 after a dedicated career as a machinist. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was happiest when he was outdoors or working on a project. Though our hearts are heavy with his loss, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will remain with us forever. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughters, Julie Stalling of Crooksville, OH, Jennifer (Matt) Reed of Veto, OH; grandchildren, Austin (Courtnie) Stalling, Alyssa Carder, Eric Carder, Elizabeth (Matt) Welch, Hollyn Reed; great-grandchildren, Owen, Maddi, Gia, Benson, Callen, Ellia, Blaine, Waylon, Bennett and Sully.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Hill Pletcher; sister, Ann Woodward; brothers, Bobby, Russel, David, Stephen Pletcher and son-in-law, Tracy Stalling.
Funeral Services will be 12 PM Tuesday August 4, 2026 at The Anchor Church of Crooksville 114 Sycamore Street Crooksville, OH 4373 with Anthony Richard officiating. Burial will follow at Deavertown Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 PM to 7 PM Monday August 3, 2026 at The Anchor Church of Crooksville.
