

He was born to the late Dale and Carma Leda Kerns on August 19, 1959.
Ron worked as a Field Supervisor for IVS Hydro for several years. He loved his job and treated each co-worker as if they were family. The family would like to thank all his co-workers at IVS Hydro for being so kind during this hardship.
He was baptized at South Parkersburg Baptist Church. Ron was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed fishing especially with his grandson Tyson. Ron loved collecting guns and knives. He served as a volunteer firefighter at Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department from 1982 to 2006.
Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. According to his family he was the funniest man in the room. He was a kind hearted person who showed love to everyone around him and he knew no stranger.
Ron will be deeply missed by those left behind. His wife of 45 years Tammy Kerns, his daughters: Sara Kerns, Megan Kerns, Katie Kerns (John Wodzinski), grandchildren; Oliva Lambey, Tyson Wagoner, Kinsley Wagoner, Clayton Whited, Adelyn Kerns; sisters, Terry Middleton and Debbie Whitacre (Dale).
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Lee Kerns and two infant sisters, Darlene and Tammy Kerns.
Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 on Friday, June 12, 2026.
