

Ronald E. Walker, 63, beloved Pastor and family man of Lancaster OH was called to be with his Lord and Savior who was first in his life on June 13, 2011 unexpectedly while on assignment in Groton, Conn.
He was born in Parkersburg, November 10, 1947 son of the late Earl and Virginia Walker. He graduated from Parkersburg High School class of 1965, and obtained a bachelors degree from John Wesley College in 1993. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was called to the ministry in 1980 and pastored in North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia, and was the founding Pastor of Homeland Community Church in Parkersburg. He also worked as a special investigator for Altegrity (USIS), and he attended Faith Memorial Church in Lancaster, OH.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Walker.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, and best friend, Vickie Walker, his children; Maranda Kuhn (Brian), Michael Walker (Victoria), Scott Walker (Kelly), Angela Dixon, grandchildren; Kaitlin Walker, Hannah, Clayton, and Alana Dixon, Alikka Stephens, and Laci Lane, sisters; Nava Jo Burge (Duane), and Mary Wilson (Woody), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Service will be Saturday, June 18, 2011, 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Brady Stephens and Rev. Gregory Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
