Rosalee Roush Kuhl, of Tucker, GA (formerly Mineral Wells, WV), passed peacefully June 27th after a short illness. She was born July 21, 1934 in Mason County, WV, daughter of Artie O. Roush and Velma Fry Roush. She raised her family in Vienna, worked as an Executive Assistant in Georgia for many years, and returned to West Virginia after retirement settling in Mineral Wells. Early in 2017, she moved in with family in Georgia, then into an assisted living residence. She was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church.
Rosie is survived by three daughters, Debbie Kuhl (Julian Torino) of Atlanta, GA; Karen Norman of Charleston, SC; and Melissa Colley of Raleigh, NC; and one son, Steve Kuhl (Tammy) of Vienna; six grandchildren, Trisha Hodges, Eric and Justin Kuhl, Meredith De La Rosa, Conner Norman and Morgan Elson and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy (Clifford) Barnett of West Columbia; and Judy (Carl) Crump of Virginia; and a brother, Warner (Bettie) Roush of Letart. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Kenneth K. Kuhl and Dale F. Radcliff, Jr.; a son, Gregg Kuhl; and a brother, William Roush.
Rosie had many interests throughout her life, but her two major passions were walking on the beach and camping. She loved nature and walking was one of her favorite pastimes. In her younger years she was an avid square dancer. Her gift of creativity has graced many a home. Over the years she spent hours sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching and making beautiful wall hangings and afghans. She had a garden for several years and enjoyed canning and baking.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 am Monday, July 2 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home located at 1934 Dupont Road, Parkersburg. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 1 from 6-8 pm and Monday, July 2 from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319.
