Born on April 27, 1978 in Parkersburg, WV, to the late Roger and Sherry Martin, Susan lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her strength through life’s challenges, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. She worked as a nurse for 20 years at Camden Clark and relished in her role as care giver to her patients.
Susan cherished her role as daughter, sister, wife, aunt and fur baby mom to Winston and Willow, and her legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family. She enjoyed going to antique stores looking for the perfect rolling pin, spending time playing games with her family, going to lunch with her friends and her presence made every gathering brighter.
She is survived by her sister, Melissa (Eric) Abilmona, her nephews Alexander Miller and Landon Abilmona, her nieces Cassandra Devan, Kendall Abilmona and Lauren Kuykendall, her great nephews Jaxen Miller, Opie Britton and Lincoln Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Sherry Martin, her sister Wendy Martin and her husband, her soulmate, Erik Stoops.
A special thanks goes out to Susan’s friends who constantly checked on her and visited her during her battle with cancer. Especially the friends who helped her in the end.
